Terms of Use
Last updated 2 November 2026
VoteWisely is a nonpartisan civic information service. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Information on the site
We work to keep information about representatives, elections and candidates accurate, but we can't guarantee it is complete or current. VoteWisely is not affiliated with INEC or any government body, party or candidate.
For official voter registration, polling unit and election information, always check INEC.
Scorecards and rankings
Scorecards and leaderboard positions are calculated only from data we hold, such as tracked commitments, legislative records and verified citizen reports. Categories without data are marked “Not yet scored”. A grade reflects that data, not a judgement of anyone's character.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what is submitted from your account. Use your own email address, and don't create accounts to impersonate someone else.
Citizen reports
When you submit a report, you agree that:
- it describes something you genuinely saw or know about, as accurately as you can;
- any photo or video is yours to share and doesn't show private individuals in a way that harms them;
- it contains no threats, hate speech, or false accusations against anyone;
- VoteWisely may verify, reject, or remove it, and may publish verified reports and their evidence.
Acceptable use
Don't attempt to disrupt the site, access accounts or data that aren't yours, or submit reports in bulk to manipulate a scorecard. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service develops. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
